If you are having problems receiving notifications on the Couchsurfing Android application, please see below:
Check Couchsurfing in- app Notifications Settings
- Open the Couchsurfing Android app.
- Open the main left side menu (Top left menu button).
- Tap on “Settings” > “Notifications”
- Make sure “Inbox" is checked
Check System Account settings
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- Under "Personal," tap Accounts and then Couchsurfing.
- Ensure that the Inbox sync settings is turn on.
Check System Notifications Settings
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- Tap Notifications.
- Make sure that the general notifications are not turned off.
- Tap Couchsurfing App.
- Make sure the Notification are enabled.
Check System Battery saver mode (Since Android Lollipop)
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- Tap “Battery” > “Battery saver”
- If “Battery saver” is on, the Couchsufing app might not display Inbox notifications.
Check that your Phone is not out of space
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- Tap “Storage”.
- Check that the storage space is not full.
