The "Pioneer" symbol is applied to the profiles of those Couchsurfing members who helped lay the foundation for Couchsurfing's success. These members made donations to Couchsurfing before 2011, when Couchsurfing operated as a non-profit. We will always be grateful to the people who helped us go from zero to over 11 million members!
