No. When you're in the Hangout, your pin appears near your actual location on the Events map, not at it. Other members can see approximately where you are, but your exact address or precise coordinates are never shared.
Who Can See That I'm in a Hangout?
Only members who have also entered the Hangout can see each other. If you haven't joined one yourself, you won't be able to see anyone else who has.
What Information Is Visible on My Profile During a Hangout?
Other members in the Hangout can see a preview of your profile, including your photo, name, a short bio excerpt, your interest tags, and what you selected as your activity. No information beyond what's already on your public profile is shared.
They can tap or click Message on your profile to send you a chat request. You're never required to respond, and you can block any member at any time from their profile.
One Thing to Know: Entering the Hangout requires your device's location permission to be enabled. Couchsurfing uses your location only to show you nearby members and place your pin on the map. Your exact location is never displayed to other members. You can leave the Hangout at any time to remove your pin from the map.
