Switched to a new email? No problem. You can update the email address on your account anytime from Settings. Just make sure you're logged in first.
On mobile:
- Tap Library
in the bottom navigation bar
- Tap your profile
in the upper right corner
- Tap Settings
- Tap Personal Details
- Enter your new email address and tap Verify Email
- Check your new inbox for a 6-digit verification code, then enter it on the Verify Email screen
- Tap Save Email
On the web:
- Click your profile
- Click Settings
in the upper right corner
- Click Personal Details
- Enter your new email address and click Verify Email
- Check your new inbox for a 6-digit verification code, then enter it on the Verify Email screen
- Click Save Email
Once verified, your new email address takes over for login and all account notifications. Your old email stays active until the new one is confirmed, so you won't get locked out mid-switch.
One Thing to Know: Couchsurfing uses a magic link to log you in. We send a link to your email address and you tap or click it to sign in. Make sure the email on your account is one you can actually access — otherwise, logging back in gets tricky.
