Good news: you probably don't have one. Couchsurfing moved away from passwords, so for most members there's nothing to remember, change, or reset.
Instead, we send a one-time code and a magic link straight to your email. Enter the code or tap the link, whichever's faster, and you're in.
How Do I Log In?
You've got a few options for signing in:
- Email: Enter your email address and tap or click Send Code. We'll send you both a code and a link, use whichever's easier

Social account: Connect with your Google, Facebook, or Apple account
What if I Still Remember My Old Password?
If you're a returning member who originally signed up with a password, tap Continue with Email, then look for Can't Access Email?. Enter your email and old password there to verify it's you. After that, we'll ask you to choose a passwordless way to sign in from now on, either Connect with Google or Continue with Email.
Having Trouble Signing In?
Code or link not showing up? A couple of quick fixes:
- Check your spam or junk folder. Sometimes it plays hide and seek there

Clear your browser cookies and try again. A stale cookie can get in the way of a smooth login
If the email address on your account has changed and you can no longer access it, tap Need Help Logging In on the login screen to start account recovery, or reach out to our support team directly.
