Yes, always. Every report is handled confidentially by our Trust and Safety team. We will never share your name or the details of your report with anyone outside of our support team, except where we are required to work with law enforcement or seek legal advice.
Will the Person I Reported Know It Was Me?
No. We will never tell another member that you reported them. If we take action based on your report, like removing content or restricting an account, the reported member may draw their own conclusions. We have no control over that. But we will never confirm or deny that a specific report was made.
If any action we take might directly affect you as the person who reported, we'll work with you individually to address your concerns and the timing of any steps we take.
What If There's a Wider Risk to the Community?
In rare situations, we may share anonymous information from member reports if we believe it could help protect others from a specific risk, for example if we become aware of a pattern of behavior targeting members in a particular region. In those cases, we never reveal who contacted us or the details of their report.
We Follow Up on Every Report
Even when no action is immediately visible to you, something is happening. Many of the steps we take happen behind the scenes, but every report is reviewed carefully and we act in line with our Terms of Use.
By reporting unsafe or concerning behavior, you're helping keep other members safe. It matters, and we're grateful you took the time to reach out.
