Curious about a destination? Location Pages are the best way to get a feel for a place before you go. See who's there, what's happening, what people are talking about, and what's nearby to explore. Whether you're researching your next trip or just daydreaming about where to go, this is where you start.
What Can I See on a Location Page?
Each Location Page is organized into tabs you can browse:
- Overview: A snapshot of the destination, including a map of hosts and events, local weather, what time it is there, friends who live nearby, and other locations worth checking out
- Hosts: See who's available to host you
- Travelers: Find out who else is headed there
- Events: Browse what's happening while you're in town
- Communities: Read local tips, join discussions, and get the inside scoop from people who know the place
It's all in one place, so you can go from browsing hosts to checking out events to reading local tips without leaving the page.
How Do I Find a Location Page?
On mobile:
- Tap Explore
in the bottom navigation bar
- Type the name of a city, region, or country in the search bar
- Select a result under Locations
On the web:
- Click Explore
- Type the name of a city, region, or country in the search bar
- Select a result under Locations
You can also reach a Location Page by tapping or clicking a location pin on a member's profile map.
Can I Add a Location to a Trip?
Yes. From any Location Page, you can add the destination to one of your existing Trips or create a new Trip directly from the page. It's a quick way to save a destination you're interested in and start discovering hosts, events, and other travelers there.
Location Communities
Every location has its own Community where members share tips, recommendations, and local knowledge. It's a great place to ask questions before you visit or share insights about a place you know well.
If you're passionate about your city and want to help shape the conversation, you can apply to moderate your location's Community.
One Thing to Know: If there are no hosts in the exact location you're viewing, the page will show hosts from nearby areas so you still have options.
