Welcome back! If you previously deactivated your account, getting back in is easy. Just log back in and your account will be restored right where you left it.
How Do I Reactivate?
Sign in to Couchsurfing using your usual method: Google, Apple, Facebook, magic link, or SMS code. Once you're in, your account and profile will be reactivated and fully accessible.
What If My Account Was Deleted?
If your account was permanently deleted rather than deactivated, it cannot be restored. Deletion is irreversible. You're welcome to create a new account and start fresh.
Please note that having more than one account at any time is against our Terms of Use. If you previously created a second account while your original was deactivated, please deactivate the duplicate. For help, see How Do I Deactivate My Account?
What If I No Longer Have Access to My Email?
If you no longer have access to the email address on your account, you won't be able to receive a magic link to sign in. Contact our support team and we can update the email address so you can get back in. See also: My Account Is Connected to an Old Email Address. How Can I Update It?
What If I Can't Log Back In?
If you're having trouble signing back in, reach out to our support team and we'll help restore access.
If your account was deactivated by the Couchsurfing team due to a policy violation, you won't be able to reactivate it by logging in. Contact our support team if you have questions about your account status.
